Ogie Diaz on his dismissal from Umagang Kay Ganda: Best recognized for bringing scandalous showbiz news in all forms of media, veteran entertainment writer/reporter Ogie Diaz made it to the headlines last October 2008 when he got ax from Umagang Kay Ganda. The exact reasons for his release were never disclosed to the public save for the fact that he supposedly debased several prohibitions in the Code of Ethics of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs. His removal from the show was effective directly so he didn't have time to bid audiences goodbye. There were rumor that the real reason Ogie was fired was because Sharon Cuneta had him axed after he air the news about her and husband Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan's believed separation, something which Ogie denied at the time.
